Sequel To Rescue The Muriwai beach rescue on Sunday in which an injured swimmer was snatched from the sea with the aid of a surf ski had a sequel yesterday. At Harewood at 9 a.m. 58 degrees was recorded rising to 60 degrees at noon. The maximum temperature, 64 degrees, was recorded at 3 p.m. at Harewood, and in the Botanic Gardens. The temperature gauge on the Government Life building recorded 75 degrees at 4.30 p.m.

Maori Land Court The Maori Land Court, presided over by Judge M. C. Smith, the district judge from Palmerston North, will sit in Christchurch from January 25 to the end of the week.
