CONVERTING BOAT
Man Charged, Remanded (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 10. A 31-year-old fishing boat worker, Patrick Alan Campbell, was again remanded on a charge of converting a 22ft mullet boat when he appeared in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today. The charge alleged that Campbell took the boat Zita, valued at £1250, from Leigh on January 1. No plea was tdken. Mr F. McCarthy, S.M., remanded him to January 24. A similar charge against Robert Lauder Miller, aged 22, a grader driver, was withdrawn by the police. Sergeant I. V. Edwards said Miller had been under the impression that the boat had been legitimately borrowed.
