WOMAN KILLED

Explosions At Church (N.Z.P. A. -Reuter —Copyright) WASHINGTON, January 11. Two gas explosions rocked Mt. Joy Baptist Church on Sunday night, turning late services into a screaming nightmare for 150 members of the church. One woman was killed by the blast and ten others were taken to hospital. Police and firemen burrowed through bricks, plaster and other rubble to free several people trapped after the explosions, which ripped out the entire three-storey rear ■wall of the church. “I heard a sort of a muffled clap, and then I saw the pipeorgan topple to the floor.” said a man inside the church at the time. Rescuers had freed those trapped in the rubble less than 30 minutes after the explosions.
