ROBERTS AHEAD
Defending Title (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND Scoring narrow and < citing victories in the second and third races of the national O.K. dinghy championship at Murray’s Bay yesterday, C. Roberts, of Auckland, io almost certain to retain his title. Roberts won the firs race on Monday, and the final two races will be sailed today. M. Paterson was th early leader in the morning race yesterday but Roberts passed him and opened up a big g . Near the end, however, wind shifts gave the rest of the fleet a chance and Roberts had only 12sec to spare from Paterson. Second Race.—Roberts 1, Paterson 2, Douglas 3, P. Menzies 4. E. Bland 5, R. Morton 6. Third Race —Roberts 1, Menzies 2, Douglas 3, Paterson 4. Morton 5. M. Mcßae 6.
