Forestry Firm’s Profits Up

In spite of a 24.2 per cent decline in covenant sales, Southern Australia Perpetual Forests, Ltd., has lifted its net profit by £15,080 for the year to October 31. The latest 37.1 per cent rise in earnings was after making no provision for income tax (£lO,OOO last year) and after lifting the depreciation charge by £1606 to £11,694. The chairman says that although £lO,OOO was provided for income tax in 1964, the company has so far had no assessment. The ordinary dividend distribution has been maintained at last year’s increased 8 per cent rate.
Vincent Chemical Lifts Earnings (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) MELBOURNE, Jan. 10. Vincent Chemical Company Pty., Ltd., makers of A.P.C. lifted net profit from £126,295 to £194,884 in the year to June 30. The company is a subsidiary of Nicholas Pty., Ltd., makers of Aspro. The balance sheet shows a contingent liability of £72,550 for undistributed profits tax.
