World beer production during 1964-65 was 13.516 million j gallons, according to an i American Agriculture Dejpartment estimate. The department estimated production at 436 million barrels of 31 gallons each, an increase of 7 per cent on the world production of 408 million barrels in 1964. The beer estimate stemmed from a department account of world production of hops, an essential beer ingredient. The department | issued a world hopping rate of 0.451 b per barrel. I It said a continued expansion of world beer production ■at the present rate would call for about 210mlb of the 1965 hops crop of 212.411116.
