STILL WAITING
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 10. A six-month-old boy, whose mother died in New Zealand in October, has not yet joined his grandparents in London. Miss Jilli: ’’'“ves, of Pakuranga, who volunteered to look after the baby, Michael Jackson, on the flight to London, is still waiting for a work permit for her job in England as an air stewardess. Michael’s fare was paid
by the New Lynn Lions’ Club.
The departure date was postponed from December 28 to January 11, and now is indefinite. Miss Reeves said today that she hoped within the next few days to learn how long it would take to obtain her work permit. Meanwhile, Michael is staying in Auckland. His father, Mr D. Jackson, will stay on in Auckland after Michael leaves.
