Zinc Corporation, Ltd., and New Broken Hill Consolidated, Ltd., both achieved higher production figures in the year to December 31 compared with the previous 12 months. Zinc Corporation is a subsidiary of Conzinc Riotinto of Australia, Ltd., which in turn owns 32 per cent of New Broken Hill. Greater Tonnage The higher output vzas the result of a greater tonnage of ore being treated during the year. In the previous year production had been affected by industrial disputes. Zinc Corporation treated 867,255 tons of ore compared with 806,646 tons in 1964. This returned 103,063 tons of lead (previously 98,953 tons), 2,353,0870 z of silver (2,222,695) and 78,020 tons of zinc (71,218). The metal content of concentrate produced remained much the same as in 1964 for both companies. New Broken Hill milled 812.653 tons of ore (762,074) which returned 91,492 tons of lead (89,574), 2,351,9980 z of silver (2,268,940) and 100,584 tons of zinc (89,201).
