Third Fire At Jamboree
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 9. The camp fire patrol at the scout progress jamboree at Trentham was called into action at 12.48 a.ra. yesterday to extinguish a dining tent fire. An official of the Upper Hutt Fire Brigade said yesterday the tent was damaged over about 75 per cent of its area. Two appliances from the brigade rushed to the scene, but the camp fire patrol had everything under control. Police are investigating. It was the third fire at the camp. The other two, both minor nature, occurred in the thatched roof of the Fijian hut and in the shower room.
