Life Ban On Player
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. A soccer professional, John Fountain, a former York Cityplayer, has been banned for life, the Football Association announced on Friday. Fountain was one of 10 footballers found guilty at Nottingham Assizes in January. 1965. of conspiracy to defraud by “fixing matches.”
He was sentenced to 15 months gaol. Fountain is the ninth player to have been banned for life
