8ft Shark Caught

Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 9.

An Bft 6in shark was landed at Langs Beach, south of Waipu, on Friday evening by Mr Murray Watson, aged 18. of North Shore. The fish was hooked from the beach by Mr A. C. Aspden, of Northcote, who said today that the shark was one of three cruising in shallow water.

Its estimated weight was 2001 b. One of the others was estimated to be much bigger.
