BURGLARY AT WESTPORT
Two Men Appear Before Court

WESTPORT, January 9
Two men appeared in the Westport Magistrate’s Court on Saturday moping charged with offences in connexion with the burglary of the premises of Robert Francis, Ltd., at Westport on January 5. Desmond Patrick Case, aged 20, laminex worker, was charged with breaking and entering the shop of Robert Francis, Ltd., with intent to commit a crime.
Wilkie Campbell, aged 43, a coal miner, was charged with receiving from Case three transistor radios valued at £73, the property of Robert Francis, Ltd., knowing them to have been taken illegally. No plea was taken. On the application of Senior-Sergeant A. W. Lawrence, they were remanded to February 2, and allowed bail of £5O each with a similar surety.
