Meter Maid Exchange

ROTORUA, Jan. 9. An exchange of meter maids will be made between Rotorua and Surfers’ Paradise in Australia later this month. One of Rotorua’s Maori meter maids. Miss Ngahuia Gordon, will fly to Surfers’ Paradise on January 16 and the same day a Surfers’ Paradise maid will arrive by air at Mangere. The two girls will each spend a week in the two cities acting as meter maids. Both will be dressed in their normal meter maid costumes* Miss Gordon in her traditional Maori dress and the Australian girl, yet to be named, in a bikini.
