Lamb Prices All Back (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 7. There was a fair inquiry this week for most commodities on the Smithfield Market. London, with retail interest concentrated on light supplies of home-killed and chilled beef, says the Meat Board’s information service.

There was a good inquiry for increased supplies of New Zealand lamb, but at easier prices.

There was a slow inquiry for New Zealand mutton, but some improvement in demand for ewes. The main grade of hoggets (49/561b) sold at 16d per lb, wethers were at 15d per lb and ewes at lid per lb.
