Bronze Falcon Might Complete Hat-Trick
“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. The highly promising four-ycar-old Bronze Falcon, the winner of his last two races, is given a great chance of completing a hat-trick in the F. J. Smith Memorial, the first leg of the T.A.B. double on the second night of the Cambridge Trotting Club’s meeting tonight. The strongest opposition for Bronze Falcon may come from two other good four-year-olds, Lonesome Valley and Chequer Board. It is against Chequer Board that he has drawn the second row. otherwise he probably would be the favourite. Control, Our Eileen, and Light Oak may be the toughest to beat in the second leg. the McMillan Free-for-All. Control had little luck in his races at the Auckland Trotting Club meeting. He will appreciate a return to left-handed racing. The forecast is for improved weather and the track will be fast.
