(N.2.P.A. -Reuter) MIAMI BEACH. Dr. Helen B. Taussig, pioneer in “blue baby” surgery, has been installed as first woman president of the American Heart Association. Dr. Taussig and the late Dr. Alfred Blalock in 1944 developed the blue baby operation, which relieves a combination of heart defects and has been instrumental in saving many lives.
