‘Protection Of Americans’ (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ATHENS, January 6. A Russian scientist missing since December 17, is in the hands of American authorities outside Greece, Greek and American officials revealed today, the Associated Press reported. Though the officials gave no details, the Athens morning newspaper, “Eleftheira.” said today that Professor Nicolai Maslovokits, aged 40, described as a physicist, was taken out of the country by American agents the day he stepped off a Russian liner in Piraeus. The next day he was reported missing by Soviet authorities. “Eleftheira” said he was taken out of the country in a United States military plane and was now under the protection of American agents somewhere outside Greece.
