N.Z. JERSEY BULLS
Export To U.K. (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, January 7. Three progeny-reared Jersey bulls are to be imported from New Zealand for use at English Al centres, says the “Yorkshire Post.” The reason behind the decision, made by the Milk Marketing Board and the Jersey Cattle Society, is that there are so few progeny-reared Jersey bulls in Britain, with all progeny tests based on small numbers of daughters. New Zealand has large numbers of progeny-reared sires with Al type progeny tests based on many daughters spread through a variety of herds. The bulls are due to arrive in England in the northern summer. They are now waiting health tests in New Zealand.
