SWIMMERS ON TOUR

Crushed All Opposition (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P A.) MELBOURNE. The New Zealand Universities swimming team crushed ail opposition in the second carnival of its tour, at Yallourn, Victoria, yesterday. The tourists won 16 out of 17 events on the programme. Miss J. Durand swam a splendid 110 yards freestyle and G. McKenzie returned to form with a time of 2min 43sec in the men's medley. In a water polo match against a combined team, N.Z.U. won 20-6. B. Crowder scored nine goals and Z. Gunthorp five. Top-scorer for the combined side was the N.Z.U. team's manager-player, C. Newtb, who scored four goals, acting as a fill-in for the opposition team.
