Congratulated By House
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, June 16. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) and the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nordmeyer) congratulated the Speaker (Sir Ronald Algie) on being knighted, when Parliament. met this evening. “I regard the honour as an honour also for our House,” replied Sir Ronald Algie. “I will use all my endeavours in the limited time I shall have for you to do nothing to cause any of you to regret sharing in an honour that has been bestowed on me.”
