No Export Of Parachutes
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—-Copyright) TOKYO, June 16. The Japanese Government has denied a Japanese firm permission to export parachutes to Indonesia, for fear that they might be used in armed conflict with Malaysia. A trading firm in Osaka, Western Japan, received an order from the Indonesian Ministry of Defence for 1000 parachutes valued at 420,000 dollars and applied to the Japanese Government for authorisation of the export, the Ministry said.
