CHRISTCHURCH PONY CLUB

Area Trials Held At Leithfield

The Christchurch Pony Club held the Christchurch-Huru-nui area trials recently at Leithfield under ideal conditions. Mr J. Arkworth’s property was used for a cross-country course which provided a test for horses and riders. Although the jumps appeared simple, only two of the 35 competitors finished without jumping faults. Results are:— A.l Cup competition: Penelope Austin (Mistinguet). 1: Diana Cunningham (Harvest Moon). 2; Mrs J. Stannage (Araan), 3; Diana Wright (Highwayman), 4. Dorothy Campbel! Trophy: Neil Anderson (Karara). 1; Vicki Todd (Royal Comet). 2; Ross Blackadder (Jim), 3; Diana Reid (Sunny Mac), 4. The team to represent the area at the national championships is: Neil Anderson, Vicki Todd, Ross Blackadder. Diana Cunningham.
