Remand For Assault
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 17.
An 18-year-old youth, Winstone Hamiora, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court, Auckland, yesterday with assaulting a taxi driver, Mr Gordon Williams Willis, aged 49. so as to cause him actual bodily harm. Hamiora was remanded for a week, bail being allowed.
Premises Entered.—Lichfield street premises of H. H. Wauchop, Ltd., were broken into on Monday night. Cigarettes and tobacco, valued at £l3, and 12 steak knives were taken.
