Baby-Sitter Dies Of Burns

HAMILTON, May 16. While baby-sitting’ for her daughter, Mrs Noel Wait, an elderly woman suffered burns from -which she has died in the Waikato Hospital. She was: Mrs Julia Agxtha Rwaeh. aged 68. widow, of 75 Galloway street. Hamilton East. Mrs Roach was sitting near the fire and her apron caught fire. She ran outside and a neighbour came to her assistance. other clothing was ignited and Mrs Roach received severe bums She was removed to the Waikato Hospital, but succumbed to her injuries. Girl Injured.—A girl. Verna Shand, of 10 Falkland street, suffered leg injuries when a cycle she was riding and a car collided at the corner of Moorhouse avenue and Montreal street at 840 am. yesterday. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home.
