“Australia Significant"
( N.Z. P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 16 Australia's part in world affairs was more significant than its population warranted, Lhe Prime Minister (Mr Menzies) said yesterday. He said that Australians should not “fall into a state of terror” because some countries disagreed with Australia’s foreign policy. He was addressing 300 persons at a citizens’ luncheon. Australia was becoming internationally significant because of its part in two world wars and its "growing enlightenment" on world affairs. “We are regarded increasingly as a happy country, a country with an immense future, and as a country made up of people who have food common sense.” Mr Menzief said.
