THE GREAT BOND OF FRIENDSHIP between this lion cub, Tillo, and the Pekinese, Liu (noted for their appearances in a television show, “The Friend of Animals”), is worrying officials of the Turin zoo. The cub and the dog have been living together since they were born, but now the fond caresses of the cub with its paws are unintentionally heavy blows for such a small dog. A separation has been tried, but Tillo would not eat, and Liu became so hard to handle that they had to be put together again. They are shown in their cage at the Turin zoo.
