(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter— Copyright) LONDON. May 12. Pardao, ridden by H. Carr, beat Nicodemus by two lengths on Friday to win the Derby Trial Stakes, 12 furlongs. at Lingfield Park, near London. Nicodemus beat Scatter by a short head for second. The winner started at 4 to! 1. Nicodemus was favourite! at 13 to 8 and Scatter was at 100 to 30. , j
