Mr G. L. Edwards, chairman of Airlines of New Zealand, has resigned from the board, according to a Sydney cablegram. Mr J. F. Johnson has replaced Mr Edwards as chairman of the company. Mr R. M. Ansett, chairman and managing director of Ansett Transport Industries, said in Sydney yesterday that but for the perseverance of Mr Edwards in the early stage of the formation of the new airline it would never have become operative.
