Sharp Rise In Profit

Net profit of New Zealand Paper Mills. Ltd., Mataura, rose by £8915 to £45,790 in the year to March 31. Profit was reached after providing £4961 less for depreciation at £32.346 and £11,350 more for tax at £48,600.

The 8 per cent, dividend takes £25,123 and £95,665 is carried forward against £74.998 brought in from last year.
