“LISTENER” TO CHANGE

Two Editions In June

Starting with the issue of June 2 the “New Zealand Listener” will be printed in two editions—one for the northern half of the North Island and the other for the southern half of the North Island and the whole of the South Island. The new magazine will give a better coverage of radio and television programmes and contain more information and’ details. The northern edition will give full programmes for those stations withlh easy listening range in that area, plus night programmes only for the main YA, YC, and ZB stations. Similarly, the southern, edition will give programmes in full detail for all South Island stations and the southern half of the Noirtb Island, together with night listening from northern YA, YC, and ZB stations. The following is the programme coverage with each edition:—

Northern edition, full programmes from: IYA, IYC, IYD Auckland; IXN Whangarei; IXH Hamilton; IYZ, IZC Rotorua; IZD Tauranga; 2YA, 2YC Wellington; 2XG Gisborne; 2ZC Hawke’s Bay; 2YZ Napier; 2XP New Plymouth. Evening programmes only from: 2ZB .Wellington, 3YA, 3YC, 3ZB Christchurch; 4YA, 4YC, 4ZB Dunedin. Southern edition, full programmes from: 2YA, 2YC, 2ZB, 2YD Wellington; 2XA Wanganui; 2ZA Palmerston North; 2XB Mastertan; 2XN Nelson; 3YA, 3YC, 3ZB Christchurch; 3XC Timaru; 3YZ Greymouth: 4YA, 4YC, 4ZB Dunedin; 4YZ, 4ZA Invercargill. Evening programmes only from: IYA, IYC, IZB Auckland. The new magazine will be larger, printed on betterquality paper, and with more illustrations, it will cost 9d. 3d more than the present price.
