New Zealand Ski-ing Team Announced

DUNEDIN, May 15. “The strongest women's ski-ing team ever to go to Australia will fly to Sydney on August 9,” said the manager of the team, Mr S. Boyd, this evening, when announcing the names of members of the New Zealand men’s and women’s ski-ing teams, A 15-year-old schoolgirl, Miss Ann Reid, of Queenstown, is included in the team. She is a member of the Wakatipu Ski Club.

Two Otago Uniyersity students, Miss Patricia Prain and Miss Celia Womersley, have been chosen. Both are already distinguished in New Zealand ski-ing. Miss Ann# 1 * Latham, of Canterbury, at present ski-ing on the racing circuit in Europe, will join the team in Australia, and will be the women’s captain. Members of the men’s team are W. Hunt (Taumarunui), captain, S. Chaffey (Blenheim), O. Clearkin (Auckland), P. Quinn (New Plymouth), and P. Willis, M. Wynn-Williams and P. Baudinet, all of Christchurch.
