Small Sum Of Money Stolen

Entry was forced into two Rangiora business premises during the week-end, when £lO in small change was stolen from one of the shops. The shops entered were adjoining ones in the McAlpine block, High street. In both cases the thieves gained entry to the premises by forcing windows at the rear of the building. About £lO in small change was removed from the Greenvale Fruiterers, owned by Mr K. M Kugener. At Nicholson and Company, drapers, the intruders forced an entry into a small rear room, but did not get into the main shop. Inquiries are being made by the Rangiora police
