Block Near Airport
A property of seven acres and a half on Wooldridge road near Memorial avenue has been advertised by the Commissioner of Crown Lands for sale or lease. It is understood that a company is interested in tendering for the land as the site for a modern hotel. Tenders for the sale or lease of the land will close on July 11. The land is 12 chains from Memorial avenue and one mile from the Christchurch international airport. It has a frontage of 390 ft on Wooldridge road and an average depth of 770 ft. The land has been excavated for gravel, but has been filled except for about an acre and a half Most of the frontage for a depth of two chains and a half is level and has consolidated. The front part of the land on Wooldridge road for a depth of two chains and a half is zoned as residential, with the rest zoned as rural.
