Miss de la Roche To Lecture

The well-known film critic and broadcaster, Catherine de la Roche, will give a pubtic lecture on May 31 in the museum lecture ball. The lecture has been organised by the Little Film Society Miss de la Roche will deal with what to look for in films, standard* of criticism, and new trends in the cinema. Miss de la Roche now lives in Wellington. Until she came to New Zealand in 1958 she was a freelance writer and lecturer, a film critic, and a broadcaster in Britain. Among the newspapers and journals to which she has contributed are the '‘Penguin Film Review," “Picturegoer," "The Times," and "Everybody's." After her lecture there will be a discussion by a panel Including Miss de la Roche. Mr* A. Facer, Mr R. N. O'RefUy, Mr R. Walton, and Mr S. Moodie, a local cinema manager.
