Children’s Radio Programmes

Sir, —May I express my pleasure to both the director of programmes, and to Gavin Yates, who conducts the children’s holiday session? Not only is it a delightfully varied hour of entertainment, but a most instructive one for all ages, and a tremendous help to a busy mother with a young family on wet days. I would also like to thank Mary Brooker, who, with Ailsa Martin, continues to give such joy to the tiny tots throughout each school term in her morning programme. I never fail to enjoy her “Frog That Went Walking On a Summer's Day,” and ate fried mosquitoes with bread and butter for his supper.— Yours, etc., GRATEFUL MAMA. May 12. 1961.
