Queen’s Filly Wins
(N Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, May 13. The Queen gained her biggest success since 1959 when Impudent won the Lingfield Oaks Trial Stakes for her today after a photo finish with Sure Shot. Sir Winston Churchill’s Comma was third. The race was worth £1760 to the winner. It was the Queen’s first winner of the season. Results:— OAK TRIAL STAKES, Of £2044: three-year-old fillies: one mile and a half (run at Lingfield, Surrey). IMPUDENT H.M. the Queen’s by Owen Tudor—Saucy Lass 9-0 .. W. H. Carr 1 SURE SHOT C.
