League ITINERARY FOR N.Z.
20 Matches, 3 Tests

Twenty matches are included in England’s proposed itinerary for the 1961 New Zealand Rugby League team, including three tests. New Zealand’s suggestion for a shorter, more concise tour than in the past has been acceded to. The tour will start with a match on August 19 and end with the third test on November 4. The tourists will travel to France then for several matches. The first test against England on September 30 will be the twelfth match of the tour. The proposed itinerary is:— August 19, v. WidnesLiverpool, in Widnes; August 23, v. Manchester XIII, in Swinton; August 26, v. Castle-ford-Featherston XIII, at Castleford; August 30, v. Leeds City XIII, at Headingley. September 4, v. OldhmaRochdale XIII,• in Oldham; September 6, v. Yorkshire, at Craven Park, Hull; September 9, v. Barrow, in Barrow; September 13, v. Lancashire; September 16, v. Warrington, at Warrington; September 20, v. Blackpool, in Blackpool; September 23, v. Hud-dersfield-Halifax XIII, in Huddersfield; September 30, First Test, at Headingly. October 4, v. Hull-Hull Kingston Rovers, in Hull (floodlit); October 7, v. Wigan at Wigan; October 9, v. Cumberland XIII, in Whitehaven; October 14, v. St. Helen’s, at St. Helen’s; October 21. Second Test, at Odsal, Bradford; October 25, v. Leigh, in Leigh (floodlit); October 28, v. Wakefield Trinity, at Wakefield Trinity. November 4, Third Test, at Swinton.
