CONVERSION LOAN
Application For £lsm
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, May 11. In the first three days of the Government's present conversion loan there had been 5000 applications for conversion of just more than £lsm, the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) said today. “The large amount which has been taken up in the opening days of this loan is most encouraging.” said Mr Lake “The Government is offering very favourable terms in the new loan. The conversion offer covers three maturing Government loans 'which total £s6m, and it is most desirable that as large a proportion as possible should be converted.”
