REFUSE AND HAWKERS' LICENCES PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimairi County Council, at a Special Meeting convened for the purI pose and held in the Council 1 Chambers, Fendalton, on the 20th day of April, 1961, resolved by way of Special resolution to amend Clauses 57, 109 and 110 of the Waimairi County By-law. 1934. The Short Title of the pro-, gosed By-law is the “Waimairi ounty By-law, 1961 (No. I),’’ the object and purport of such By-law being as follows: 1. REFUSE OR OBJECTIONABLE MATERIALS. CLAUSE 57—that the wording of this clause be amended < by the addition of the follow words “or permit or suffer to be left.” 2. WITH RESPECT TO HAWKERS. (a) CLAUSE 109—that the f present clause be deleted n toto and a new clause substituted therefore providing for a new form of application and annual licence fees as follows: For hawking perishable articles of food for human consumption £1 For hawking other goods £2 For travelling or mobile shops •• £l5 (b) CLAUSE 110—that this clause be amended by deleting the words “(3s) three shillings” and substituting therefore the words "five shillings (55).“ FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN that the said resolution will be submitted to the Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers. County Office, FENDALTON, April 24. 1961. 7113 WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL WAIRARAPA RIDING WORKS LOAN, 1981, of £16.000. IT is Hereby Publicly Notified that the' Waimairi County Council at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday. April 20, 1961, passed the following resolution:— 1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested tn it by the "Counties Act, 1956," the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956'* and all amendments thereto and all other acts (if any) enabling it tn that behalf, and by virtue of the sanction ot tne Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeeting of the Board held on the 24 th day of March. 1961 the Coimcll resolved to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £16.000 for the Wairarapa Riding for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing roads, and constructing kerbing and channelling and footpaths. 2. That such loan W known as the Wairarapa Riding Works Loan, 1961, of £16,000 (hereinafter called "the said loan").
3. That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed ten years. 4. That the rate of Interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders, a rate exceding four and seven-eighths pounds (£4 17s 6d) per centum per annum.
5. That the said loan shall be repaid by annual redemption of debentures or stock.
6. That the payment of Interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made In New Zealand, and no amount payable as either interest or principal shall be paid out of loan moneys. 7. That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent, of any amount raised.
8. That no moneys shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the 24th dav of March. 1961. 9. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special rate of ,056195 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the W'alrarapa Riding. 10. That the form of security for the repayment of the principal and interest on the said loan shall be by means of debentures of £lO6, £5OO and £ 1000 denomination, and Interest coupons in conformity with the "Local Authorities Loans Act. 1958." or by Registered Stock.
Pursuant to the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1988" IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary meeting of the Waimairi County Council to be held in the Council Chambers, corner Clyde/Jeftreys roads. Fendalton, at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, 18th May, 1961 for confirmation as a Special Order. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken it five per cent, of the ratepayers In the Wairarapa Riding of the County so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution hereinbefore mentioned.
