IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the Waimalrl County Council, at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers. Fendalton, at 730 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 1961, passed the following resolution : 1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the "Counties Act. 1956," the "Local Authorities Loans Act., 1956," and all amendments thereto, and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of tile Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on March 24. 1961, the Council resolved to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £60,000 lor the Walrarapa Riding for the purpose of purchasing land and constructing a road between Ham and Waimairi roads. 2. That such loan be known as the "Wairarapa Riding Land Purchase and Development Loan 1961 of £60.000" (hereinafter called "the said loan.") 3. That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed ten years. 4. That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding four and seven-eighths pounds (£4 17s 6d) per centum per annum. 3. That the said loan shall be repaid by annual redemption of debentures or stock. 6. That the pavment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal shall be paid out of loan moneys. 7. That the rate payable for the brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised. 8. That no moneys shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from March 24, 1961. 9. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special rate of .320726 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the Wairarapa Riding. 10. That the form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be my means of debentures of £lOO, £5OO, and £lOOO denomination, and interest coupons in conformity with the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” or by Registered Stock. Pursuant to the “Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the foregoing resolution will be subnuttea to an Ordinary meeting of the Waimairi County Council to be held in the Council Chambers, corner Clyde/Jeffreys roads. Fendalton, at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. 1961, for confirmation as a Special Order.
