Ambassador’s Claim

(N.Z.P.A -Reuter— Copyright) TEL AVIV, May 10. Hitler’s deputy, Martin Bormann, one of the world’s most wanted men, was said yesterday to be probably living in Brazil. The information was released by the former Argentine Ambassador to Israel (Dr. Gregorio Topolevski) at a press conference in Tel Aviv. He claimed that Bormann had been living on the Argentinian - Brazil border as recently as five months ago. Bormann was sentenced to death at the Nuremburg war trials. One judge described him as a man who '‘carried out the brutal orders of Adolf Hitler and even exceeded them.” Dr. Topolevski .gave no source for his information. Bormann was officially declared dead in 1954 on evidence that he died during the Russian advance, but there have been constant reports that he is still alive.
