Alliance Textiles, Ltd., report that the first six months of the present financial year hove been very satisfactory. “Production and sales are up and the directors’ decision to merge the Timaru mill® with Oamaru, although only 12 months in operation, is now proving its worth, particularly in the streamlininf: of production which has let to greater efficiency. “The activities in Dunedin, Maheno, Oamaru, Waimate, and Timaru are all expanding. “The new issue has been substantially over-subscribed and the applicants for additional shares will only get a small fraction of their requirements. “The board has declared an interim dividend of 3d a stock unit, payable on June 16,1961, on both the old and new capital of the company. Ex dividend date is June 3.”
