Further Release Of Deposits

The Reserve Bank of Australia today announced the release of a further £l7 million from the "frozen” funds of trading banks. This is the second release of compulsorily held bank deposits in the last three weeks. The other, on April 19, totalled about £17.7 million. Today's release brings the total brought back into circulation to nearly £34 million.
