Soccer Player Stood Down Three Saturdays

WELLINGTON, May 11. The Wellington Soccer representative and of the Zealandia team. A. G. Schryvers, was stood down for three playing Saturdays at this evening's management committee meeting of the Wellington Football Association.
Schryvers was ordered off by the referee. Mr J. Armstrong in a senior club match with Seatoun at the Basin Reserve last Saturday. The referee advised the association that he had ordered Schryvers off after the player had become abusive. Eight other players began to leave the field with him.
Schryvers agreed at the meeting that he might have been abusive, but maintained he had not been ordered off. He said he had the referee's permission to walk off. A letter from the Zealandia Club saying that Schryvers had walked off. and protesting at the referees’ decisions, was not recceived, because it
was not accompanied by a 10s protest fee. Rossendorff, a senior thirddivision Railways player, who was also ordered off last Saturday for abusing the referee, was given a caution. Test Referee (N.Z. Prtts association) WELLINGTON. May 11. Mr C. Dickie (Auckland! will referee the first test between the touring English soccer team and New Zealand. Advice of his appointment was received at this evening's management committee meeting of the Wellington Football Association.
