VISITORS FROM WAIMATE

Canterbury Travel Club Meets

Members of the Waimate Travel Club came to Christchurch yesterday to be guests at a meeting of the Canter, bury (N.Z.) Travel Club. They included the Mayor of Waimate (Mr A. J Mcßae) who is also patron of the club, Mrs Mcßae, president of the club. Also present were the vice-president (Mrs W. J. Fletcher), the secretary (Mrs F. G. C. Mcßae) and two committee members (Mr D. Milligan and Mrs H. Naylor). Members of the club Included Mesdames F. H. Boys. I* McElhinney, G. Allen, J. Ball, A. W. Hurst, A. R. Manchester, S. Morgan, V. Purcell, D. Milligan, D. B. Richardson, H. Keenan, W Fletcher, Mr F. G. C. Mcßae. Other guests of the Canterbury club included Mrs B. E. King (Southland), Mrs B. Collins (Nelson), and Mrs B K. Gainsford, wife of the guest artist. The Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning), who was accompanied by Mrs Manning, welcomed the Waimate visitors to Christchurch. A welcome on behalf of the Canterbury club was extended by Mrs Sedley Wells Vocal items were given byMr Bryan Gainsford. accom. panied by Mrs J. H.
