Slaughtering For Export
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 11. Amended regulations on packaging meat for export were gazetted tonight. Formerly meat could not be packaged for export unless it came from stock slaughtered in a meat-export slaughterhouse. The new regulations allow meat slaughtered in an abattoir to be packaged for export with the consent of the Minister of Agriculture on the recommendation of the Meat Board.
Abattoir slaughtering for export is to be done on terms and conditions recommended by the board.
