The position of deputvmedical officer of health in Christchurch Is unlikely to be filled before the end of this year, according to the Director-General of Health (Mr H. B. Turbott) in Christchurch yesterday. The department would not be able to add to the Christchurch office at least until two men at present studying for diplomas of public health had graduated towards the end of this year.
