Heavy Polling In Samoa
(N Z.P.A -Reuter— Copyright) APIA. May 9. Polling was unexpectedly heavy in the Western Samoan plebiscite today on the territory’s independence from January 1. 1962. The first progress reports results showed that there was an overwhelming trend in the voting in favour of independence.
