Dollar, Advice To Behan
(N Z.P.A-Reuter—Copyright) SAN FRANCISCO, May 9. The Irish playwright, Brendan Behan wm given an autographed new dollar bill yesterday by the United States Treasurer, Mrs Elizabeth R. Smith, and advised: “Spend it wisely." Mr Behan attended a press club luncheon where Mrs Smith was the guest speaker Her signature appears on all United States banknotes. Mr Behan sipped a glass of carbonated water after refusing gin and Scotch whisky.
