FOUNDATION CLASSES
Supervisor Sought By Association
In an effort to find a person or body of persons to succeed Mr A. R. Blank in supervising Golf Foundation classes, the management committee of the Canterbury Provincial Golf Association will approach the Veterans’ Golf Association and school teachers in the game. These two avenues of exploration were suggested at a meeting of the committee last night after the secretary of the association (Mr G W. A Green) had reported that Mr Blank could no longer carry out the work because of his health. On the motion of Mr I. A W Munro, it was decided to send a letter of appreciation to Mr Blank to mark his work over the years The New Zealand Golf Association advised that the Waitikiri Club had been allocated the South Island championships for 1961. They will be held on September 30 and October 1, in conjunction with the North Canterbury championships.
